I can go a day without makeup, but a clean face is one beauty routine I will never skip. Cleansing and moisturizing are the most important parts of my daily regimen, and over the years I've found skincare lines I love, and others I loathe. Read on for some of my favorite brands.
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
Cetaphil has always been my go-to cleanser when I’m traveling or need to pick up something quick. Its available everywhere and won't break the bank! It’s gentle, non-irritating and leaves my face smooth and ready for the day. They also have cleansing cloths that are perfect for backpacking trips and camping!
Clinique 3-Step Skincare System
Clinique was my best friend during puberty. I was super prone to oily skin and breakouts, so my mom emphasized the importance of cleansing to help combat the problem. I used Clinique’s 3-Step Skincare System for combination skin, which worked wonders for me during those early teenage years.
Shiseido Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam
I was introduced to Shiseido during my college years, of which I'm forever grateful. I opted for the exfoliating beads in their face wash. Their Pureness line left my skin feeling so soft, clean and well...pure. Shiseido has reliably done the trick for me over the years, and is still one of my regular beauty essentials.
I discovered Tatcha on a whim while researching beauty products for our site. It's a luxury skincare line inspired by the beauty rituals of the Geisha. They utilize natural ingredients and I was fascinated by the products, so I decided to give their Ritual Discovery Kit a try. I was a bit intimidated by the instructions at first, but was pleasantly surprised at how simple the steps were once I built up the courage to give it a go. The process forces you to really take the time to pamper your face. I definitely felt well moisturized and bright at the end of the trial and I can't wait to test out more of their products!
